As far as neighborhoods go, we think you might enjoy Ponsonby, which is close to the venue, great cafe’s, shops, etc. Or, if you want to go to further into the wild, it’s really up to you! Britomart or Commercial Bay are great spots for dining and shopping.

Getting there
Flying
Fly into Auckland Intl Airport. If you’re staying for the weekend and your accommodation is close to the venue, Uber will be an easy shout. If you are staying longer, renting a car before you land is the go! For you foreigners, be careful driving on the other side :)
Getting an Uber, Lyft, or cab to and from the city, it should be around $50, depending on your stay.
Getting around
If you are centrally located, walking or grabbing a scooter will be easy and for longer trips, an uber.
Friends Moon
Come away with us!
On Monday, March 16th, our hope is that you can join us on a friend's moon in the beautiful Matarangi on the Coromandel peninsula. We’ll head up there for 5-7 nights. This is a stunning beach spot in paradise where we can relax, swim, explore surrounding areas such as Opito Bay, New Chums beach, Cathedral Cove, Hot Water beach and Luke's famous Kitchen. Plus lots of activities like surfing (hopefully), diving, golf, tennis, etc.
AND most importantly, get some nice time together.
We have started an air bnb FriendsMOON wishlist here if you want to have a looksie. These houses are close to the house we'll be in (788 Matarangi Drive, Matarangi) to avoid long walks or driving to each other.
Let's be close as :) these houses listed are big, made for sharing but there are plenty of smaller housing options too.

Transport
It’s a 3 hour drive from Auckland so you would need a car or please speak to us about carpooling. We will convoy up and stop on the way and do a big grocery shop in Thames.
